Although the second season of the Shooter TV show premieres tonight on USA Network at 10:00pm, the entire season hasn’t been filmed yet. Over the weekend Ryan Phillippe, who stars a Bob Lee Swagger, broke his leg during a family outing. Now, TV Line reports production is reworking the shooting schedule for the ninth and tenth episodes of the 10 episode season.

A USA action drama, Shooter stars Phillippe, Omar Epps, Shantel VanSanten, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Eddie McClintock, Beverly D’Angelo, Lexy Kolker, and Josh Stewart. Harry Hamlin, Patrick Sabongui, Troy Garity, and Jaina Lee recur in the second season.

Based on Stephen Hunter’s novel, Point of Impact, and the 2007 Mark Wahlberg film, Shooter, the TV series follows expert marksman Bob Lee Swagger (Phillippe). Despite being retired and living in exile, Swagger has been lured back into action for his most crucial mission, yet.

Deadline published a statement from Paramount, regarding the production: “We are working with our partners at USA and UCP to adjust the production schedule, but first and foremost we are happy to hear that Ryan is doing well and recovering.”

Meanwhile, Phillippe may be lying down on the job, but he’s still on the job, nonetheless. The actor announced he will host a pre-show Twitter Q&A today, will live-tweet both the East and West Coast airings of the Shooter season two premiere. Check out his tweets and Instagram post.
