Shooter: USA Pushes Series Premiere to Fall

Shooter TV show on USA Network

USA Network is putting the safety on Shooter for a little while longer. Variety reports the network has delayed the new series’ debut until the fall.

The drama stars Ryan Phillippe as Bob Lee Swagger, an ex-military sniper who returns to action in order to prevent a plot to assassinate the president. The cast also includes Omar Epps and William Fichtner.

Last week, USA announced they were delaying the series’ planned July premiere by a week due to the recent police shootings in Dallas. Now, due to more deadly shootings across the nation, the network is postponing the show’s debut until the fall season.

An exact date has yet to be announced.

What do you think? Are you interested in watching Shooter? Do you think the premiere delay is appropriate?
