William Fichtner is headed to USA. TVLine reports the actor has joined the network’s upcoming new series Shooter.
Based on the 2007 movie, the drama stars Ryan Phillippe as Bob Lee Swagger, an ex-military sniper who returns to action in order to prevent a plot to assassinate the president. Omar Epps also stars.
Fichtner will play “a former marine that Phillippe’s character seeks out as a mentor in his journey to stop an assassination attempt on the President of the United States.”
Shooter premieres on July 19th.
