Julia Sweeney is headed to Hulu. Deadline reports the Saturday Night Live star has joined the streaming service’s upcoming TV show, Shrill.
Based on the memoir by Lindy West, the comedy “tells the story of a fat young woman, Annie (Aidy Bryant) who wants to change her life, but not her body.”
On Shrill, Sweeney will be playing Annie’s mom. She joins fellow cast members Lolly Adefope, Luka Jones, Ian Owens, and John Cameron Mitchell.
Hulu has not yet announced a premiere date.
