There’s more drama in store for Hulu. Deadline reports that Jeffrey Donovan has been cast in the streaming service’s new original drama, Shut Eye.
Donovan previously played lead Michael Westen on USA’s long-running series Burn Notice.
From Les Bohem, Shut Eye explores “the underground world of Los Angeles storefront psychics and the organized crime syndicate that runs them.” Donovan has been cast as Charlie Haverford, “a failed magician who now works as a psychic/conman overseeing a number of fortune telling parlors in Los Angeles.” The series will center on Haverford’s attempt to branch out on his own, away from Romani kingpin that controls him.
This is the latest in a series of original dramas for Hulu that include The Path and 11.22.63.
