Based on the idea of six degrees of separation, this drama revolves around a group of six seemingly disconnected New Yorkers and their respective relationships. As the series progresses we see that these random individuals are all actually connected to one another. Characters include attorney Carlos Green (Jay Hernandez), young nanny Mae Anderson (Erika Christensen), widow Laura Morgan (Hope Davis), former criminal Damian Henry (Dorian Missick), ad agency executive Whitney Crane (Bridget Moynahan), and separated father Steven Caseman (Campbell Scott).
