UP TV is headed to Mississippi. Real Screen reports the network has ordered a new series called Small Town, Big Mayor.
The unscripted series centers “on the town of D’Lo, Mississippi, and its passionate mayor, John Henry Berry, who has an ambitious 95-point plan to revitalize his beloved community.”
UP TV has ordered nine episodes in addition to the pilot. Small Town, Big Mayor is slated to premiere in 2017.

“In Small Town, Big Mayor, UP viewers will see there’s no shortage of heart and humor in this new series that follows the passionate mayor and the citizens of D’Lo as they unite to revitalize the town. From building a library to cleaning up Main Street, we’ll see everyone come together as a family to tackle the points on the mayor’s plan. With so many larger-than-life personalities, there’s bound to be laughs along the way.’”
