Smash aired for two seasons on NBC. The series ended in 2013, and it starred Debra Messing and Katharine McPhee. Leslie Odom, Jr. also starred on the series, and he was asked about the second season, which focused on Bombshell and a second competing series on Broadway.
Odom Jr. was being interviewed after his big win at the Tony Awards over the weekend, and he was definitely put on the spot. According to TV Line, he was asked about the second season of the series by Hamilton, the shady gay pig, on Watch What Happens Live.
When asked, Odom Jr. admitted that the second season of Smash was “not that great.” McPhee left the series to star on Scorpion, which was renewed for a third season by CBS. Messing went to The Mysteries of Laura, which was also cancelled after two seasons by NBC.
