CBS is getting in on crime. Only a day after news broke that CBS is developing a police procedural from Brian Burns, Deadline reports the network is developing another crime drama with female lead.
Titled Smoke & Mirrors, the show follows a “mysterious detective in the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division, a contemporary Houdini-like character who uses her knowledge of deception and misdirection to solve seemingly impossible crimes committed by criminal masterminds.”
The pilot comes from Marc Webb, executive producer of CBS’ Limitless and The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and writer Dave Kalstein.
