NBC has put the Sneakers TV show pilot into development. The hacker drama is based on the 1992 feature, starring Robert Redford.
Deadline reports Sneakers comes from former Mentalist executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi, husband and wife producing team Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, and Universal TV.

According to the report, Szentgyorgyi, will write the Sneakers TV series adaptation. He will also executive produce with Parkes and MacDonald.
In the 1992 film, Redford stars as Martin Brice aka Martin Bishop, who runs a team of security specialists. Because NSA agents know of his shady past, they use it as leverage against him.
If Martin will steal a “black box” that turns out to be a decryption device, they promise to finally clear his record. In addition to Redford, the all-start cast includes Ben Kingsley, Sidney Poitier, Dan Aykroyd, River Phoenix, and James Earl Jones.
