It looks like Snowfall has a solid chance at a second season. Deadline reports the upcoming FX TV series has received a tax credit to film season two in California.
From Dave Andron, John Singleton, and Eric Amadio, the drama explores the rise of crack cocaine in early ’80s Los Angeles. The cast includes Damson Idris, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Carter Hudson, and Emily Rios. FX ordered a 10-episode first season last year.
As we reported earlier, the California Film Commission has awarded tax credits to 15 TV projects, including $8.83 million for season two of Snowfall. While FX has not officially announced a season two renewal for the series, it seems more than likely given the generous tax credit.
Season one of Snowfall is expected to debut sometime later this year.
