Oxygen TV shows logo

Oxygen is tapping into the youth scene. Variety reports the network is developing three TV series inspired by social media: Social Girls, Review Rage, and Love to Hate.

Social Girls, an unscripted series, will focus on influential media figures while Review Rage features “comedic reenactment[s] of online reviews.” Love to Hate “will profile how in the digital age a celebrities’ fall from grace can be catastrophic.”

From Variety:

“Social Girls” centers around the new type of celebrity on the rise — the influential social media millennials with millions of followers. Cameras will follow these “selfie queens” and their followers, as they redefine what it means to be “insta-successful.” Eastern and Monami Entertainment are behind the series with Toby Barraud, Stefan Springman, Mala Chapple and Mona Scott-Young serving as executive producers.

“Review Rage” is a comedic series that gives businesses and online reviewers the opportunity to vent their frustrations through hilarious reenactments of both sides of the story. The show, which seems to be inspired by Yelp, will follow everything from bad manicures to awkward waxing appointments. Wilshire Studios is producing along with Diana Nguyen and Maris Berzins serving as executive producers for New Birch Productions and Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone for Kaplan Perrone.

“Love to Hate” is set in the fast-paced world of celebrity culture. Inspired by celebs like Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, the hourlong anthology series will profile public figures who have survived public disasters. The show hails from A. Smith and Co. Dox with Arthur Smith, Frank Sinton and Christmas Rini serving as executive producers.”
