TV show description:
In this reality competition, 11 celebrities train and compete in regulation platform and springboard diving at dizzying heights in front of a weekly poolside audience.
Each week the celebrities leap off the 10-meter high dive, pair off to complete synchronized stunts, and flip, twist and spin into the depths of the pool below. The level of difficulty increases as the competition progresses. One celebrity is eliminated from the competition at the end of each episode.
The contestants are mentored and given weeks of training by Greg Louganis, the world’s most decorated and medaled diving legend. Each dive is critiqued by two judges; London Olympic US Gold medalist David Boudia and Australian Olympic athlete and USA Dive Team director Steve Foley.
The show is presented by actor/host Joey Lawrence and sportscaster Charissa Thompson.
Episode #8
The three finalists were Drake Bell, Nicole Eggert, and Rory Bushfield. Bell came in third and Eggert fell on her back during her final dive but was not seriously injured. Bushfield ultimately won the competition.
First aired: May 7, 2013.
