Star has some new stars. Deadline reports Sharlene Taule and Caroline Vreeland have joined the upcoming FOX series.
From Lee Daniels, the drama “revolves around three talented young singers (Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady) who navigate the cutthroat music business on their road to success.” The cast also includes Queen Latifah, Tyrese Gibson, Benjamin Bratt, and Darius McCrary.
On Star, Taule will play “a beautiful young Dominican girl whom Jahil (Bratt) saves from trouble.” Meanwhile, Vreeland has been cast as “Mary Davis, the mother of Star and Simone, who died when the girls were little. The girls inherited their incredible music talent from their mother.”
