Star Trek: Discovery has some new company. Deadline reports the upcoming CBS All Access TV show has recast some roles and added new cast members, including Kenneth Mitchell and Rekha Sharma.
Recently, we reported the premiere date for the sci-fi series has been pushed back again. Initially, the show was slated to debut in May. Now, it’s unclear when it will launch. The cast includes Jason Isaacs, Mary Wiseman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Rainn Wilson, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, and James Frain.
On Star Trek: Discovery, Kenneth Mitchell will play “Kol, a commanding officer in the Klingon empire. He replaces previously cast Shazad Latif, who will now play Starfleet officer Lieutenant Tyler. Additionally, Rekha Sharma has been cast as “Commander Landry, the security officer of the Starship Discovery.” Also joining the ensemble are Clare McConnell and Damon Runyan, who will play Klingon leaders Dennas and Ujilli, respectively.
The CBS All Access series is being executive produced by Bryan Fuller, Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Gretchen J. Berg & Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
