Star Trek: Discovery will land on CBS All Access this January, and fans of the series may hear a familiar voice on the series as the voice of the ship’s computer. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry voiced the computer and appeared on various series throughout the last fifty years.
Roddenberry Entertainment revealed on Twitter that a library of her voice saying various things does exist, and that there is work being done to use her voice on apps like Siri and as the voice of the computer on the new series.
