Star Trek: Netflix, Hulu and Amazon All Wanted New Streaming Series

Star Trek TV show on CBS All Access

Star Trek is ready for a big return in 2017, and there is more being said about the new CBS series. Previews comments by those involved with CBS revealed just how hot this product is in terms of the small screen.

According to Broadcasting & Cable, Les Moonves, the man in charge of CBS, revealed more about the series and who was interested in it. Apparently, several streaming services were ready to pay big money for the new addition to the Star Trek franchise.

He said:

“Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, they all offered us a lot of money. They all wanted it very badly. We could have taken the quick bucks from Netflix but it shows we’re investing in a property we really believe in the future.”

Even with CBS turning down the big offers from Netflix and others, the series has already made them a lot of money, and the money is still rolling in. Moonves revealed that, “The numbers internationally are pretty astronomical.”
