Star Trek: The Next Generation: Marina Sirtis Would Love to Play Troi Again

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Star Trek: The Next Generation aired for seven seasons and spawned films on the big screen, but it has been more than twenty years since the series ended. Marina Sirtis, the actress behind Deanna Troi, has remained active in the Star Trek fandom since the last film by attending conventions.

According to Trek Today, the actress spoke about the series and her character during a recent interview with MZNow. She remembers the challenge playing the role of Troi on the series because the character was so unlike her.

Would she be willing to bring the character back to life? With a new Star Trek in development, it is possible fans could see some of the old characters pop back up. That has not yet been mentioned though.

Sirtis said the following about playing Troi again:

“It would be interesting to me to go back now, twenty years later and kind of go ‘who did she become? Who is she now?’ I would find that very interesting and I would love to do that.”

Would you like to see the return of Troi or any of the other former stars from the Star Trek universe return? Tell us what you think.
