Star Trek fans are getting ready for the release of Star Trek: Beyond to the big screen, but Paramount is already looking ahead. Is there a fourth Star Trek movie already in the works?
According to Trek Movie, Paramount registered the name Star Trek 4 with the Motion Picture Association of America. It does not guarantee that a fourth film in the revival franchise will be made, but it is at least being considered by Paramount.
Both Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are already signed on for a fourth film, so that does add a bit more weight to the possibility. Paramount will likely wait to make an official decision about another movie until after Star Trek Beyond’s release.
