All you need are headshots, a winning idea, and an elevator pitch. Casting has begun on the Steve Harvey’s Funderdome TV series, coming to ABC. From Shark Tank‘s Mark Burnett, the entrepreneurial business competition show is slated to begin filming in October, 2016. Find out how to apply, after the jump.
The 13-episode first season, hosted by Harvey, will pit entrepreneurs against each other, as they try to win customers’ (i.e. audience) votes with their pitches. Steve Harvey’s Funderdome is produced by MGM Television and will be internationally distributed by MGM.

ABC BEGINS CASTING FOR “STEVE HARVEY’S FUNDERDOME,” AN ENTREPRENEURIAL BUSINESS COMPETITION SERIES FROM MGM TELEVISION’S MARK BURNETT
“Steve Harvey’s FUNDERDOME” will be a seed-funding competition reality series where two budding entrepreneurs will go head-to-head to win over a live studio audience to fund their ideas, products or companies.
Casting is now underway and the series will begin shooting in Los Angeles in October for ABC.
In each of the 13 episodes, the audience will represent the “customer” and, as the customer is always right, they will be voting to determine the winner. But, in each round, following the pitches and before Steve Harvey reveals the results of the crowds majority vote, the entrepreneurs will face a major dilemma: one of the entrepreneurs is allowed to cash out and walk away for a lesser amount. But if an entrepreneur cashes out, they forgo the opportunity to win the whole cash prize for that round – a good move if they lost the crowd vote, but a bad move if they would have won it.
Steve Harvey will host, infusing humor, passion and support for the American Dream.
The series will be produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM.
