Is Stranger Things the new Harry Potter? The creators of the Netflix series recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the future of the supernatural drama.
From the Duffer Brothers, the series follows the search for a boy who disappears in a small town cloaked in mystery. The cast includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Matthew Modine, Finn Wolfhard, and Millie Bobby Brown.
When asked about a second season of Stranger Things, the Duffers said they hope it will be like Harry Potter:
The dream is a Harry Potter situation. I love watching kids growing up on camera. So the idea seeing where these kids and these characters are one year later is cool to me. And it allows us to explore the mythology of our nether.”
Stranger Things has not officially been renewed by Netflix yet, but a second season is likely.
