Could there be a Street Sharks reboot? TV Guide reports Girls star Andrew Rannells is interested in a revival of the ’90s animated TV series.
A teenage Rannells voiced Streex on the cartoon, which followed a group of crime-fighting half-man/half-sharks. The syndicated program ran for three seasons before ending in 1997.
Speaking to TV Guide, Rannells said the role was one of his first jobs:
I was like 16 years old in Omaha, Nebraska, doing that cartoon.”
And would he be down for a reboot?
Hell yeah! I always sort of felt like we were the poor man’s Ninja Turtles, but I was happy to be a part of it.”
