The King has left the castle. TLC has cancelled Suddenly Royal after one season, Manx.net reports.
The docu-series chronicled David Drew Howe, an American auto repair advisor who discovered he was heir to the throne of the British Isle of Man.
In a video interview with Manx, Howe confirmed the series was not renewed for a second season, saying:
I mean, I’m not sure really where we would’ve gone with a second series. It’s kind of like the relatives that come over and stay a little too long. You’re happy to see them initially, but when you get into the second week, you’re thinking, ‘Okay, maybe it’s time for them to go.'”
