Airing on the CMT cable channel, Sun Records stars Chad Michael Murray, Billy Gardell, Drake Milligan, Kevin Fonteyne, Christian Lees, Jonah Lees, Trevor Donovan, Keir O’Donnell, Jennifer Holland, Margaret Anne Florence, and Kerry D. Holliday. In the show, Sam Phillips (Murray) shepherds young musicians Johnny Cash (Fonteyne), Elvis Presley (Milligan), Carl Perkins (Dustin Ingram) and Jerry Lee Lewis (Christian Lees). These up-and-coming white musicians combine hillbilly country music, with the ’50s R&B sound of African American artists like Ike Turner (Holliday), B.B. King (Castro Coleman), Muddy Waters, and Fats Domino.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/5 Update: While not cancelled, CMT has confirmed there will be no season two of Sun Records. Details here.

Note: The premiere was simulcast Nick-at-Nite (0.15 demo and 544,000) and TV Land (0.08 demo with 453,000).
