FOX has added a few new unscripted series to its summer offerings, this season. Coming a couple of weeks after the premieres of Beat Shazam, The F Word, and Love Connection, is its new competitive reality show, Superhuman. The network first introduced the format as a two-hour special, back in January of 2016. Does the audience still have a taste for it? Will Superhuman be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Kal Penn hosts the Superhuman TV show and is joined by and panelists Mike Tyson, Dr. Rahul Jandial, and Christina Milian. The FOX series features regular people who have exceptional abilities in areas including memory, hearing, taste, touch, smell, sight, and more. Each weekly episode showcases five contestants with superhuman skills, competing for a grand prize of $50,000. The series is filmed in front of a live studio audience who chooses which contestant will take home the grand prize, as well as the “Superhuman” title.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
8/1 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Superhuman TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX?
