CBS’ 2016-2017 schedule isn’t set in stone yet. Deadline reports the network is retooling their comedy pilot Superior Donuts for midseason consideration.
Based on the play by Tracy Letts, the series centers on the employees and patrons of a Chicago donut shop. The cast includes Jermaine Fowler, Maz Jobrani, and David Koechner.
CBS is apparently re-casting some of the roles in the pilot, with original star Brian d’Arcy James being replaced. Filming for the new pilot will reportedly take place this summer, and the network is considering a midseason premiere date.
What do you think? Are you familiar with the play? Would you watch Superior Donuts?
