Survivor: Season 34 Ratings (Game Changers)

Survivor TV show on CBS: season 34 ratings (canceled or renewed for season 35?)
In its 34th season, the Survivor TV show on CBS is bringing back some oldies but goodies (and baddies?). Survivor: Game Changers features two tribes of past players who, in their own ways, took Survivor gamesmanship to new levels. Will former viewers return to watch prior castaways scheme and strategize on Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands? Could this 17 year old reality show be cancelled or, is it a lock for a season 35 renewal? Stay tuned.

Jeff Probst returns to CBS as host of Survivor: Game Changers, which pits two tribes of 10 past contestants against one another. On the Mana Tribe are: Michaela Bradshaw, Aubry Bracco, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Ciera Eastin, Malcolm Freberg, Hali Ford, Caleb Reynolds, Troyzan Robertson, Jeff Varner, and Tony Vlachos. Playing for the Nuku Tribe are: Andrea Boehlke, Brad Culpepper, Sierra Dawn-Thomas, Cirie Fields, Sarah Lacina, Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth, Zeke Smith, James “J.T” Thomas, Tai Trang, and Debbie Wanner.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

3/23 update: CBS confirms Survivor is renewed for season 35. Details here.

5/25 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The 32nd season of Survivor (Spring 2016: Brains vs Brawn vs Beauty) averaged a 2.01 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 8.95 million viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR views within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
