Are you a fan of Swamp Thing. The cast and creators of the DC Universe TV show are “shocked” by the series’ recent cancellation, reports TVLine and BusinessInsider.
The DC series, which just premiered on May 31st, “follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets.” The cast includes Virginia Madsen, Andy Bean, Crystal Reed, Will Patton, and Jennifer Beals.
On Instagram, executive producer James Wan revealed he doesn’t know why DC Universe cancelled Swamp Thing but he did tell fans to continue watching:
Also, BusinessInsider spoke to several people who worked behind the scenes on Swamp Thing and apparently the cancellation came out of nowhere. As of reporting, DC Universe has not yet released an explanation for the swift cancellation but there is a theory that is has something to do with parent company WarnerMedia.
