Taken: Season Two; Person of Interest EP Hired for NBC Series

Taken TV show on NBC: (canceled or renewed?)

Taken has a new leader. Variety reports former Person of Interest EP Greg Plageman will be the new showrunner for season two of the NBC TV series.

A prequel to the Liam Neeson film franchise, the action drama stars Clive Standen as a younger Bryan Mills, a former Green Beret who embarks on a quest for vengeance after a major tragedy. The cast also includes Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Simu Liu, and Ali Kazami.

Plageman is taking over as showrunner from Alexander Cary, who left Taken at the end of its first season. NBC has ordered 16 episodes for the show’s second season.

From EuropaCorp TV USA president Matthew Gross:

We’re thrilled to bring Greg on to run the show. His enormous talent and vast experience with bold broadcast television is a perfect fit. We look forward to seeing what his vision and direction brings to ‘Taken’ and the Bryan Mills character as we move into the show’s second season.”

What do you think? Did you see season one of Taken? Will you watch season two?
