Last year, we reported TNT has ordered a Tales from the Crypt reboot. Now, Deadline reports the horror series revival has been delayed due to legal issues.
From M. Night Shyamalan, the new Tales from the Crypt will be similar to the original anthology TV show and feature a self-contained horror story each week introduced by the legendary Cryptkeeper. The network has ordered 1o episodes of the reboot series.
Recently, TNT released a statement explaining the show’s delay:
The underlying rights to the classic, vintage property are complicated. TNT and others have been pursuing a solution for more than a year, with significant progress being made. We look forward to the potential for further active development of this valuable franchise once the clearance process is fully resolved.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of the original Tales from the Crypt? Would you watch the revival?
