TV show description:
This late night talk show series airs weekly and includes sit down interviews, irreverent comedy sketches (both in-studio and on the street), and variety acts, all in front of a studio audience. Unlike other late-night shows however, the format doesn’t include a monologue.
Comedy writer and Spike Feresten doubles as both the show’s host and executive producer.
Sketches on the show include “Idiot Paparazzi” in which pretend photographers hit the streets and take pictures of people who vaguely look like famous people; “Tomorrow’s Headlines Today” where Spike reads fake news from the future; “Ye Olde Adult Video Shoppe” that shows what porn would’ve looked like during the American Revolution; and “Lil’ Bill O’Reilly” which parodies the Fox News host.
Episode 65
Feresten reads stolen Dr. Phil Viewer Mail. Products suggested in the answers include Gay Man’s Ear, a product that allows men to respond to their wives like a gay friend might without really listening, and the Bra-Berry, an undergarment that can helps wives attract their husband who are addicted to using their Blackberry. Porn Myth Busters, a parody of the Myth Busters series, is also previewed.
Feresten’s guests are Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! on Adult Swim. They start by showing off their new clothing line, Tim and Eric Extreme Apparel, in a fashion show. The two get into a fight and walk off the show, leaving Spike to fill time talking to a male runway “model.”
In the interview segment afterward, Heidecker and Wareheim return to discuss their Cartoon Network show.
First aired: May 16, 2009.
There hasn’t been any news of plans to revive the show.
