Just yesterday, we reported HBO had released new footage of Game of Thrones‘ season six. Now, Variety is reporting that one of the show’s executive producers, Vince Gerardis, is developing a new series called The 4th Kingdom.
The 10-part series is being described as a cross between Mad Max and Waterworld. It’s written by Paul Chart, who previously worked on the films Children of Men and The Book of Life. Aside from the whopping $40 million price tag, little else was revealed about the series.
This is the latest in a series of new TV shows Gerardis has been involved in developing. He will also be executive producing Spike TV’s upcoming sci-fi drama Red Mars.
The new season of Game of Thrones premiers in April 2016.
What do you think? Would you watch Gerardis’ new series? Will you be watching season six of Game of Thrones?
