The Amazing Race: Spring 2016 Ratings

On the 28th season of The Amazing Race, the teams are filled with social media personalities. These contestants have millions of devoted followers but will these followers watch their favorites on television? Will they help the ratings of this venerable CBS TV show? Stay tuned.

Phil Keoghan returns as host with the 28th cycle of The Amazing Race. This season features 11 pairs of contestants racing around the world in pursuit of a million dollar prize. Each team features at least one Internet celebrity. They are Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins, Erin White Robinson and Joslyn Davis, Cole LaBrant and Sheri LaBrant, Zach King and Rachel King, Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina, Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff, Marty Cobb and Hagan Parkman, Blair Fowler and Scott Fowler, Cameron Benson and Darius Benson, and Brodie Smith and Kurt Gibson.

This season will cover eight cities and 10 countries over 27,000 miles. This season marks the first time that the show will visit Colombia, Georgia, and Armenia.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
