TV show description:
On this sister soap to The Young and the Restless, much of the drama surrounds the Forrester Family and their family business, Forrester Creations.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) always dreamed of being a fashion designer and, after marrying his college sweetheart, Stephanie Douglas (Susan Flannery), they launched Forrester Creations. Amid their success, they managed to raise four children; Thorne (Winsor Harmon), Kristen (Teri Ann Linn, then Tracy Melchior), Felicia (Colleen Dion, then Lesli Kay), and Ridge (Ronn Moss), Stephanie’s son by shipping magnate Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo). Eric and Stephanie eventually divorce.

Ridge also has a gift for design and uses his talents to help Forrester Creations become a major presence in the fashion world, so much so that when he marries the daughter of a media mogul, Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson), the press herald the event as the couture world’s “wedding of the year.” The marriage of the playboy leaves many a broken heart, but none more than Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), his former flame.

Out of revenge, Brooke marries Eric, the man who raised Ridge and has two of Eric’s children, Rick (Jacob Young, then Justin Torkildsen and Kyle Lowder) and Bridget (Ashley Jones). When Caroline passes away from cancer, oncologist Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) advises Brooke to let Ridge grieve before courting him again. Brooke’s heart is broken once more when Ridge and Taylor marry but the relationship has its ups and downs.

Forrester Fashions isn’t without its competitors, however. Rival Spectra Fashions, overseen by Sally Spectra (Darleen Conley), keeps the Forrester clan on the top of their fashion game. Though adversaries in the fashion world, Sally’s daughter Macy (Bobbie Eakes) couldn’t be kept from Thorne and the two marry despite the Forresters’ objections.

In this daytime series, being beautiful may help you get what you want, but being bold will help you keep it.
