The Borgias: TV Series Premiere Delivers Big Ratings

Showtime’s new historical drama, The Borgias, looks like a success out of the gate. The Sunday premiere registered the biggest ratings for the cable channel since Dead Like Me seven years ago.

Total 1.49 million viewers

Comparisons:
THE BORGIAS premiere was up 22% from THE TUDORS S1 premiere – 869,000 viewers and 1.27 million viewers for the night.

The series debut of SHAMELESS on Jan. 9 garnered 982,000 total viewers at 9 p.m. and 1.3 million viewers for the night (at the time was our largest drama premiere in seven years until THE BORGIAS. 7 yrs ago: Dead Like Me with 1.11 million).
