TV show description:
Vince Faraday (David Lyons) is a devoted family man and an honest cop who works on a corrupt police force in Palm City. After a string of events, he finds himself framed for a series of murders and is presumed dead. With his good name in shambles, Vince is forced into hiding and must leave behind his wife Dana (Jennifer Ferrin) and their young son, Trip (Ryan Wynott). Fueled by a strong desire to reunite with his family and to battle the criminal forces that have overtaken the metropolis, Vince becomes a vigilante known as “The Cape” — his son’s favorite comic book superhero.

In his quest, Vince gets help from some unlikely places. Max Milani (Keith David) is the ringleader of a circus gang of bank robbers, The Carnival of Crime,” who help mentor Vince and trains him to be The Cape. Despite being a criminal, he abhors killing and has a strong moral code. Rollo (Martin Klebba) is an unassuming little person who’s also the muscle of the gang. Raia (Ivabella Miko) is an alluring acrobat.

Orwell (Summer Glau) is an investigative blogger who wages war on the crime and corruption of the city in her own way. She helps Vince but wants to keep her life and reasons private.

Billionaire Peter Fleming (James Frain) is The Cape’s nemesis and the founder/CEO of Ark Industries. In his villainess alter-ego as Chess, Fleming is a serial killer and the man who framed Vince. He’s obsessed with chess and sees everything as a strategic game. A dangerous thug, Dominic Raoul aka Scales (Vinnie Jones) works for Fleming and is more resistant to harm because he’s covered with green and gold scales.

Marty Voyt (Dorian Missick) is a friend to Vince and secretly a corrupt police detective. He works for Fleming because he fears for the safety of his own family. Among other things, he visits the Faraday family and presents more evidence that Vince was really Chess.
