The Class: How Would You Have Ended the CBS Sitcom?

When The Class was first being developed, CBS, FOX, and NBC got into a bidding war over the sitcom. CBS ultimately won and the series landed on Monday nights, the network’s only comedy night.

Though the series attracted a core group of loyal viewers, The Class never became a big hit with critics or the general audience. The show’s ratings were moderate at best and CBS cancelled The Class after 19 episodes. Because the final episode was filmed prior to the cancellation, the show ended with several cliffhangers.
