TBS might be headed to Detroit. According to Deadline, the network has bought a pitch for a new, Detroit-based sitcom, The D.
Created by Chris Powell, a stand-up comedian and Detroit native, and Chip Hall, the series “follows 25-year-old CP and his best friend Reggie Bo — who is essentially an inner-city version of Elmo — as CP fights to earn the respect of his legendary gangster father while at the same time surviving in America’s most dangerous city.”
Chris Powell, also known as Comedian CP, has appeared on FOX’s Empire.
What do you think? Does The D sound like something you’d watch? Are you a fan of Comedian CP?
