The Equalizer could be the next reboot back at CBS. The network is already home to reboots for Hawaii Five-0, Magnum PI, and MacGyver. Could The Equalizer land on the network as well? It is looking like a possibility.
Per Deadline, CBS has given a pilot order to a reboot of The Equalizer. Queen Latifah will star in the new series, if it makes it to the network.
Andrew Marlowe & Terri Miller are behind the series, and Latifah will also serve as executive producer.
Deadline shared the following about the series:
“The Equalizer stars Queen Latifah as an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. This is a new take on the character played by Edward Woodward on the original series and by Denzel Washington in the movie franchise.”
The series aired for four seasons on CBS. Washington has appeared in two reboot films in recent years.
