CBS has ordered the TV show comedy pilot for The Great Indoors. A multi-cam project, The Great Indoors comes from writer Mike Gibbons, who will executive produce.
An EP on Tosh.0 and co-executive producer on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Gibbons’ comedy roots go deep. He produced The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Deadline says The Great Indoors, “…centers on an adventure reporter who must adapt to the times when he becomes the boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of the magazine.”
With an understandable slip of the tongue, TV Insider adds:
The Great Outdoors [sic] will not be focusing on the dangers of Mother Nature.
Instead, the multi-camera pilot comedy pilot will dive into a wilder world with even wilder characters: digital publishing with millennials.
