TV show description:
In this futuristic animated sitcom, citizens of Earth travel in flying cars, live in homes that are raised far above the planet’s surface, and eat their meals by consuming small capsules.

The show centers around the Jetson family; hapless father George (George O’Hanlon); his homemaker wife, Jane (Penny Singleton); teenage daughter Judy (Janet Waldo); genius preteen son Elroy (Daws Butler); their high-spirited dog, Astro (Don Messick); and their cuddly pet alien, Orbity (Frank Welker). Much of the housekeeping is taken care of by Rosie the robot maid (Jean Vander Pyl) and the building’s handyman, Henry (Butler), does his best to keep the Jetsons’ many electronic devices working properly.

George is a typical working stiff who works long hours (three hours, three days a week), occasionally pushing a single computer button. He’s employed by a tyrannical little man named Cosmo Spacely (Mel Blanc) of Spacely Space Sprockets. George’s job seems to be in constant jeopardy as he gets tied up in his boss’ schemes to compete with H.G. Cogswell (Butler) of Cogswell Cogs.

This is the second series based around the Jetson family. Most of the original voice performers reprised their characters and the new episodes were combined with those from the original series for syndication. Cute Orbity was added for the new episodes and the stories are generally geared towards younger viewers.
