TV show description:
This single-camera sitcom is inspired by the real life of comedian, author, and actor Jim Gaffigan who stars as himself. Set in New York City, it chronicles one man’s struggle to find a balance between fatherhood, stand-up comedy, and an insatiable appetite.
Other characters include Jim’s off-beat Catholic wife, Jeannie (Ashley Williams); Jim’s aggressively single comedian friend, Dave (Adam Goldberg); Daniel (Michael Ian Black), Jeannie’s gay ex-boyfriend and confidante, who is also Jim’s biggest critic; and Jim and Jeannie’s endearing priest, Father Nicholas (Tongayi Chirisa).
Celebrities making cameos include Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Lawrence O’Donnell, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Dave Attell, Hannibal Buress, Macaulay Culkin, and Janeane Garofalo.
