The McLaughlin Group: Political Talk Show Returning to PBS Stations

The McLaughlin Group is coming back. Deadline reports the TV show is returning to PBS in 2020.

The long-running political talk show, which debuted in 1982 wrapped in 2016 just before the death of host John McLaughlin. The talk show panel included Pat Buchanan, Tom Rogan, Eleanor Clift, and Clarence Page.

According to Deadline, The McLaughlin Group will return to PBS nationwide in January 2020. Rogan will take over as host and Buchanan, Clift, and Page are expected to return.

From executive producer Seth Berenzweig:

The McLaughlin Group is an American original. Our panel remains experienced, balanced and highly professional – and perhaps most important – it remains together. Generations of Americans have come to rely on our team’s ability to bring clarity and truth to political discourse.”
