TV show description:
Based on the Stephen King novella, The Mist TV show takes place in Bridgeville, Maine. After the Copeland family’s daughter is brutalized, an ominous mist has overwhelmed the town. In it are countless, confusing, concerning threats.

Kevin Copeland (Spector) is an enlightened, progressive, principled man. A dedicated husband and father, Kevin has never been one to feed on bitterness and bigotry. When the mist rolls into town, his moral compass strains, as he struggles for the survival of his family.

Kevin’s wife Eve (Sutherland) has a colorful past and a bit of a reputation. A teacher, Eve is also a passionate parent. She will do anything to protect her daughter, Alex (Birney) from the mist, and from the town’s animosity toward them.

For her part, Alex has always been a devoted, dutiful daughter. When Eve gets over-protective though, it triggers the girl’s rebellious streak.

Big man on campus, Jay Heisel (Cosgrove) is the son of the local sheriff. Although he and Alex had grown to be friends, he is accused of crimes against her. Meanwhile, his dad, Connor (Pettie), is trying to maintain law in order as Bridgeville spirals out of control, and he’s trying to figure out what’s really going on with his son.

Young and insecure, Adrian (Posner) is Alex’s best friend. After she is victimized, he springs to her defense. Because he witnessed the crime, he is drawn into the troubling scandal which would tear Bridgeville apart.

A drug addict on the run, resourceful Mia Lambert (Curcic) is on a quest for money, the truth, and her fading sense of self. Meanwhile, amnesiac Bryan Hunt (Morro) is a military man. As he uncovers clues to his identity, will he be happy with what he learns?

Gus (Whitlock) manages the local shopping mall. When the survivors there form a new society, he must decide if he will step up and lead them, and what he’s willing to do to keep things under control.

“Modern day ecological martyr” Nathalie Raven is something of a prophet. Although she is armed with more faith than facts, she does seem more in tune with the natural world, and her instincts about people are impressive.

A contemporary, tolerant priest, Father Romanov (Butler) stars to doubt his more flexible interpretation of scripture, once the mist rolls into town.

Family, friends, and even enemies will form unusual alliances, as they fight the enigmatic mist and the threats therein. Will they be able to remain moral and sane as society’s rules fall apart?

Series Finale:
Episode #10 — The Tenth Meal
Tensions at the mall finally come to a head, and the group makes a discovery which could provide answers about the origins of the mist.
First aired: August 24, 2017.
