TV show description:
A syndicated, daytime talk show that’s hosted by Montel Williams; an actor, a former member of the US Marines and Navy, and a Multiple Sclerosis survivor.
In the series’ early years, it focuses on controversial and sensational tabloid subjects. Over time, as that format fell out of favor with audiences, the program began focusing on inspirational stories and people who need help in changing their lives in some way.
The show features interviews with influential politicians, experts, and ordinary people dealing with extraordinary circumstances. Show subjects include social problems like infidelity, domestic violence, the welfare and foster care systems, substance abuse, and many youth issues.
The show’s After-Care Program helps some guests to receive psychological counseling, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and treatment for eating disorders as needed.
On Wednesday episodes, in later years, self-proclaimed psychic Sylvia Browne is the featured guest and provides readings to audience members and discusses spirituality and the afterlife.
