Could The Nanny be making a comeback? Recently, star Fran Drescher spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of a reboot for the CBS TV show.
The original sitcom starred Drescher as Fran Fine, a fashionista from Queens who becomes the nanny for an upper-class family. The cast also included Charles Shaughnessy, Daniel Davis, Nicholle Tom, and Lauren Lane. The show ran on CBS for six seasons before ending in 1999.
In the interview, Drescher revealed she and co-creator Peter Marc Jacobson are thinking about rebooting The Nanny:
We’re talking about it. Peter and I are talking about it. We’re working on a very big project. It’s going to be very exciting for the fans, but I’m not at liberty to announce it yet. But it’s gonna be big.”
