TV show description:
Comic Sarah Silverman portrays an insensitive, tactless, self-absorbed, and fictionalized version of herself in this irreverent sitcom.

Unemployed, and certainly not grown-up by any stretch of the imagination, Sarah relies on her responsible younger sister, nurse Laura Silverman (played by her real-life older sister of the same name). Laura looks after her, pays her rent, and bails her out of any tough situation.

Brian and Steve (Brian Posehn and Steve Agee) are Sarah’s friends and neighbors, or “gaybors” as she affectionately calls them, and frequently hang out with both Sarah and her sister at the local coffee house named Joseph’s.

Officer Jay McPherson (Jay Johnston) joins the mix when he meets Laura after arresting Sarah for having driven her car straight into a sandbox at a local playground. Feeling as if Laura is replacing her, Sarah doesn’t hide her displeasure for her sister’s new boyfriend and does anything she can to drive them apart.

Episodes at times border on the absurd and feature Sarah participating in favorite game show Cookie Party! with Laura to win money to replace their parents’ vandalized gravestone, trying to upstage Jay when he wins the Humanitarian of the Year award and inviting a homeless man to move in, flying to Mexico to hire back her maid believed to have stolen her “Shoplift Shelley Doll,” and even beginning a romantic relationship with God.
