The Secret of Secrets has started filming, and Netflix has released the first photo from the latest Dan Brown adaptation. Netflix has also announced new cast members.
Mamadou Athie, Ben Levi Ross, Anamaria Marinca, Richard Sammel, and Elena Saurel have joined Morgan Spector, Rebecca Hall, Cherry Jones, Corey Stoll, Rob Delaney, and Abbey Lee in the series inspired by the Dan Brown novel.
Netflix shared the following about the plot of the series and the new additions to the cast:
“In Dan Brown’s thrilling novel, symbologist Robert Langdon races against ancient forces and time to rescue a missing scientist and her groundbreaking manuscript whose discoveries have the power to forever change humanity’s understanding of the mind. The series adaptation (currently untitled) will blend futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering on the heart-pounding suspense and international intrigue that has made the Langdon stories a global phenomenon.
Mamadou Athie (The Drama; Uncorked (2020 Film)) will play ‘Michael Harris’
Ben Levi Ross (Ragtime; Elsbeth) will play ‘Alex Conan’
Anamaria Marinca (Housekeeping For Beginners; 4 Months, 3 Weeks And 2 Days) will play ‘Dr. Gessner’
Richard Sammel (Andor; Inglourious Basterds) will play ‘Karl Muller’
Elena Saurel (The Agency; We Might Regret This) will play ‘Susan Housemore’”
The premiere date for the series will be announced later.
