Deadline reports Glee‘s Jayma Mays has been cast in The Trail TV series pilot at NBC, as Assistant District Attorney Carol Anne Keane. Earlier this week, John Lithgow and Sherri Shepherd were added to the cast of The Trail.
First cast in the series was Broadway star Steven Boyer as Dwayne — the loyal lead investigator for young, big-city defense attorney, Josh Simon. Shepherd is the defense team’s receptionist/assistant.
According to Deadline, Mays’ Keane is prosecuting Lithgow’s Larry Henderson for his wife’s murder. The report describes A.D.A. Keane as “ambitious and Southern tough, [she] wants this case to be a stepping stone for her career and will not let anyone or anything stand in the way of her getting her first death sentence conviction.”
