The X-Files: Mini-Series (Season 10) Ratings

The X-Files TV show on FOX: ratings (cancel or renew?)After many years away, The X-Files has returned to television as a limited series. The show was very popular in the 1990s but the series’ ratings saw big drops at the end of its original run. There’s been a lot of hype surrounding The X-Files’ return and all involved say they’d be interested in producing an 11th season at some point. But, will the audience and the FOX network be interested? Stay tuned.

The series takes place 14 years after the closure of the original X-Files. FBI special agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) is contacted by his former partner, Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) at the behest of Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi). He wants them to meet a right-wing webcaster (Joel McHale). This leads them to new information and Mulder begins to doubt what hes believed for so very long. The rest of the cast includes William B. Davis, Annabeth Gish, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Sheila Larken.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

2/23 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
